
Makes 7 large to medium-sized pork chops

What you’ll need
4 pounds rib-end Pork chops
Salted butter
Tomato paste
Vinegar
Molasses
Honey
Sugar
Brown sugar
Hickory liquid smoke
Mesquite liquid smoke
Seasonings
Salt
Black pepper
Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning
Chef Paul’s poultry magic
Granulated onion
Granulated garlic

11 by 17-inch baking pan

Preparation of ingredients
Pork chops
Step 1- Rinse pork chops off with cold water.
Step 2- Place the pork chops onto flexible chopping boards. Sprinkle 1/8 teaspoon of salt, black pepper, Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning, Chef Paul’s poultry magic, granulated onion, granulated garlic, 1/2 teaspoon hickory liquid smoke, and 1/2 teaspoon mesquite liquid smoked onto one side of the pork chops.
Step 3- Rub the seasonings and the liquid smoke onto the pork chops. Flip the pork chops over. Sprinkle 1/8 teaspoon of salt, black pepper, Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning, Chef Paul’s poultry magic, granulated onion, granulated garlic, 1/2 teaspoon hickory liquid smoke and 1/2 teaspoon mesquite liquid smoke onto the other side of the pork chops. Rub the seasoning and the liquid smoke onto the other side of the pork chops
Step 4- Add the pork chops into a large bowl. Cover the bowl with a lid. Let marinate for 4 hours or overnight.
Barbecue sauce
Step 5- Add 6 ounces tomato paste, 2 tablespoons vinegar, 1/2 tablespoon hickory liquid smoke, 1/2 tablespoon mesquite liquid smoke, 2 tablespoons molasses, 3 tablespoons honey, 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning into a medium-sized bowl. Stir all ingredients with a whisk until combined.
Baking the pork chops
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 6- Add pork chops into baking pan. Add 2 tablespoons cubed salted butter underneath pork chops and around baking pan. Place into a preheated 350-degree oven on the bottom rack. Bake for 40 minutes.
Step 7- Remove the pork chops from the oven. Let cool for 5 minutes.
Set your oven broiler to high.
Step 8- Line an 11 by 17-inch baking pan with aluminum foil. Place the cooked pork chops into your baking pan. Brush honey barbecue sauce onto both sides of the pork chops.
Step 9- Place the pork chops into the broiler part of your oven for 1 to 2 minutes. Once the time is up, remove the pork chops from the oven broiler.
Step 10- Flip the pork chops over. Brush the pork chops again with the honey barbecue sauce. Place into the broiler part of the oven for 1 to 2 minutes. After the time is up, remove the pork chops from the broiler part of your oven. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
