Cabbage Fried Rice

What you’ll need

Chopped Cabbage
Andouille smoked sausage
1/2-pound small Louisiana shrimp (Peeled cleaned and deveined)
Cooked long grain rice (Day old)
Seasonings
Salt
Black pepper
Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning
Chef Paul’s seafood magic
Ground ginger
Soy sauce
Sesame seed oil

Preparation of ingredients
Seasonings and smoked sausage

Step 1- Chop 1 bunch green onions, and 2 cloves garlic, you can also use a garlic press to press the garlic instead of chopping it. Once done chop 5 ounces in weight of andouille smoked sausage into small bite sized pieces. Set all items aside.


Preheat fire to medium high heat.
Step 2- Add 1 teaspoon sesame seed oil and chopped Andouille smoked sausage into a large saucepan. Let sauté for 2 to 3 minutes stirring occasionally. Remove andouille smoked sausage and place into a serving bowl and set aside.


Step 3- Add 1/2 pound (8 ounces) small shrimp that has been peeled cleaned and deveined, 1/4 to 1/8 teaspoon Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning and 1/4 or 1/8 teaspoon Chef Paul’s seafood magic into the same large saucepan. Let sauté for 1 minute. Once done, remove shrimp from saucepan and place into a serving bowl and set aside.


Preparing the Fried rice
Preheat fire to medium high heat.

Note- Assembling the Fried rice will be quick so make sure all ingredients and tools are ready to go.


Step 4- Add 2 teaspoons sesame seed oil into a large saucepan. Spread around and let get hot for 20 seconds to 1 minute or until the mixture starts smoking.


Step 5- Add 1 cup of chopped green onions, and 2 cloves of chopped or pressed garlic. Stir continuously for 1 minute.


Step 6- Add 1/2 pound (8 ounces in weight) chopped cabbage, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, 1/8 teaspoon Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning, 1/8 teaspoon Chef Paul’s seafood magic, and 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger. Stir continuously for 30 seconds.


Step 7- Add sauteed andouille smoked sausage (5 ounces in weight), shrimp tails (8 ounces in weight), and 2 cups cooked rice. Stir all ingredients continuously for 30 seconds.


Step 8- Add 4 teaspoons soy sauce and 1 teaspoon sesame seed oil. Stir all ingredients continuously for 30 seconds to 1 minute and after that the fried rice is ready to be served.
