What you’ll need

One 15oz box of Duncan Hines Cake mix

Unsalted Butter

12oz Cream Cheese (Room Temperature)

Vanilla Extract

Almond Extract

Eggs (Room Temp)

Confectioners sugar

Baker’s joy Non-Stick baking spray

Tools you’ll need

9×13 Inch Square pan

Making the crust

Step 1- Add entire package (15 ounces) of Duncan Hines cake mix, 1 egg (Room temp) 1 stick unsalted butter (Melted) and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Mix for 3 minutes on medium speed until mixture forms a dough.

***Spray pan with non stick baking spray***

***Preheat oven to 350 degrees***

Step 2- Add dough into baking pan. Using your hands, spread dough around the bottom of your pan as evenly as possible.

Making the filling

Step 3- Add 12oz cream cheese (Room temp) and 3 Eggs (Room temp) Mix all ingredients on medium high speed for 3 minutes.

Step 4- Add 5 tablespoons melted Unsalted butter, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon Almond extract, 4 Cups Confectioners’ sugar. Mix on medium high speed for 3 minutes or until all lumps have been removed.

Step 5- Pour filling into baking pan. Spread filling around pan as evenly as possible. Shake pan slightly to make the filling more even in pan.

Step 6- Place pan into a preheated 350-degree oven for 50 minutes. After 50 minutes remove cake out of oven. Let cool completely before flipping.

Step 7- Cut cake into 12 squares. You can cut it into as many squares as you like. This cake can serve up to 12 or more people depending on how you slice it.

Optional– Lightly sprinkle confectioners’ sugar on top of your cake before serving.
