Oven baked Barbecue baby back ribs

What you’ll need
4 pounds 1 slab of Pork Baby back ribs
Unsalted butter
6oz can tomato paste (No salt added)
Sugar
Vinegar
Molasses
Honey
Liquid smoke

Seasonings
Salt
Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning
A Cajun life Mesquite barbecue rub

Tools you’ll need
Aluminum foil
11×17 inch baking pan
Pastry brush

Preparation of ingredients
Step 1- Rinse your ribs with cold water. Pat ribs dry with napkin.

Step 2- Add 2 teaspoons tony Chachere’s creole seasoning, 2 teaspoons ACajunlife mesquite barbecue rub and 1/8 cup of liquid smoke. Rub seasonings and liquid smoke onto the ribs. Place in fridge for 1 hour or you can let it marinate overnight.

***Preheat oven to 350 degrees***
Step 3- Butter the bottom of your baking pan. Add ribs into baking pan. Optional-Add a small amount of seasoning on to the ribs if you like.

Step 4- Add Aluminum foil on to baking pan. Take fork and Polk holes into the top of the foil. This will allow some of the steam to escape during the baking process.

Step 5- Place into a preheated 350-degree oven for 2 hours.

Step 6- Remove pan from oven. Remove aluminum foil and it aside. Drain all pan juices. Note- To tell if the ribs are tender take a fork and insert them into the ribs.

Making the Barbecue sauce
Step 7-Add 1/2 cup tomato paste, 1/8 cup vinegar, 1/8 cup liquid smoke 1/8 cup molasses, 1/8 cup honey, 4 tablespoons sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt (Optional). Stir all ingredients together. Place into microwave on high heat for 2 minutes.

Adding the barbecue sauce onto the ribs
***Preheat oven to 400 degrees***
Step 8- Line the bottom of your baking pan with same aluminum foil you used to bake the ribs. Place ribs upside down into your baking pan.

Step 9- Brush barbecue sauce on to ribs on both sides using a pastry brush.

Step 10- Place into broiler part of oven for 5 minutes. Remove from broiler part of oven. Let ribs cool for 5 minutes before serving.
