Airtight container
11 by 17-inch baking pan

Preparation of ingredients
Popcorn

Note- If you are not using another popcorn maker like the air popcorn maker or the traditional popcorn machine, follow the instructions according to your make and model of the type of popcorn maker you are using.

Step 1- Add 1 tablespoon popcorn oil and 1/4 cup mushroom popcorn kernels into base of the popcorn maker.

Preheat fire to medium high heat.
Step 2- Place the lid of the popcorn maker on top of the base of the popcorn maker. Slowly turn crank continuously until the popcorn stops popping. It can take up to 1 to 3 minutes before the popcorn starts popping.

Step 3- Turn fire off and remove lid from the popcorn maker to let steam escape for a few seconds. From there quickly add popcorn kernels into an airtight container and place lid on top and set aside.

Making the praline candy coating
Preheat fire to medium heat.

Step 4- Add 3/4 cup evaporated milk, 3/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1/2 cup chopped pecans, and 1/4 heaping teaspoon salt into a medium-sized pot. Let simmer and stir continuously for 8 to 10 minutes or until the simmering pattern reaches the volcanic simmering pattern. Demonstration below.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 5- Add popcorn into praline candy mixture and carefully stir until the popcorn is coated with the candy mixture.

Step 6- Add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon popcorn oil onto an 11 by 17-inch baking pan and spread oil around the baking pan. Add candy coated popcorn into the baking pan and spread around as evenly as possible.

Step 7- Place into a preheated 350-degree oven on the middle rack for 3 to 5 minutes. After 3 to 5 minutes, remove popcorn from oven and let cool for 1 minute.

Step 8- Add popcorn back into an airtight container and close with an airtight lid. Let popcorn cool completely before serving. As the popcorn cools, it will become crispy. Enjoy!

Quick tips- To keep the popcorn as fresh as possible, store in an airtight container or zip lock bag at room temperature. Do not leave the popcorn uncovered as this will cause it to go stale.
